My story is out.

A Tale of Motherly Love

Once upon a time in a faraway land, Rabbit mom had just given birth to two cute and cuddly bunnies. Despite the fact that she had to use all her fur to make warm nests for them, the twins were her pride and joy in life. She was constantly worried for their health and well-being, often staying out late to knit coats of fur and providing good meals for their continued growth.

Mother Rabbit cared for the baby bunnies so much so that she actually was willing to trade her resting hours for extra work just to carry the income necessary to buy the toys which they constantly craved for. Despite and perhaps due to the exceedingly good environment that the bunnies grew up in under Mother Rabbit’s care, the twins gradually got used to having and getting everything that they wanted without the need to work for it, becoming rather spoilt and unappreciative of their mum’s efforts in bringing them up. An incident eventually occurred to change the lives of Mother Rabbit and her twins forever.
Since young, all baby bunnies have been told not to enter into the forbidden place in the forest. One fine day after school had ended early for them, the two bunnies decided that they should go on an adventure into the forbidden place since their mother had not arrived to pick them up yet. Upon venturing into the forbidden place, they saw nothing horrible or frightening in the area. Instead, rows upon rows of huge carrots lay before their eyes. Almost immediately, the famished bunnies left their schoolbags on the floor and started to eat the delicious-looking carrots. After filling their tummies with the carrots, a strange drowsiness came upon the bunnies which lulled them to sleep right in this beautiful land.
Time went past and Mother Rabbit was getting worried as there was still no sign of the twins at the point where she was supposed to pick them up. Rabbit mom went to search for the bunnies high and low and to her surprise, she saw her bunnies’ school bag en route to the forbidden place! Mother Rabbit discarded all the previously ingrained fearful thoughts a rabbit would usually have upon the idea of having to go into the forbidden place for the sake of her twins’ safety and decided to go in to look for them. She followed their footprints and chanced upon the horrifying sight of a one-eyed monster about to feast on her twins. Almost forgotten myths about how the ancient predators of rabbits, the one-eyed Cyclops, used to prowl Rabbitland and were sealed in an enchanted area in the forest came to her mind. So it was all true! Nevertheless, Mother Rabbit jumped out into the clearing and pleaded desperately with the monster to spare the lives of her two bunnies.
The Cyclops, slightly touched by the courage of Mother Rabbit, growled that it might have been possible to let them go if they had not eaten the rare fruit of the land which constituted the daily diet of the Cyclops. “The Cyclops actually are carrot eaters?” was the strange thought that went through the mind of Mother Rabbit when she heard this. The thought was quickly banished when the Cyclops continued by saying that it wanted to eat the bunnies as compensation for their deeds unless a suitable substitute could be found. Upon hearing this, Mother Rabbit stuffed her mouth with the carrots found in the land and volunteered herself as an exchange for the safety of her bunnies.

The bunnies were released by the monster while it took their mother away. Mother tearfully screamed to her bunnies “I will always love you no matter what you do” before disappearing with the Cyclops. Fleeting words of “ the two of you were very lucky to have such a worthy mother who was willing to sacrifice herself for your pathetic lives, begone now” were heard in the minds of the two bunnies.
Scared stiff upon their ordeal and the sight of their mother being led away by monsters, the two bunnies hopped back home terrified. When the bunnies reached home, they saw half-sewn tops of their faces on a shirt as was requested by them a few days back as a gift for them to show off in front of their classmates who had similar shirts. It was then that they finally realized the extent of their mother’s love and the fact that she was never going to be back again for them. Tears started rolling down the cheeks of the twins and they vowed to not make their mother’s sacrifice a worthless and to grow up to be filial and mature rabbits in the future. They learnt how to take care of themselves and gradually understood the hardships which their mother had endured unceasingly just to provide them with the necessary comforts which they had taken for granted. Every year on an unfailing basis, they would take the best carrots and the half knitted shirts to the edge of the forbidden area to pay their respects to their mother. With this image in mind, the tale of how motherly love has saved the lives of their own children and why it is celebrated in the form of Mother’s Day every year comes to an end.

Time to break it down and think of scenes REAL SOON. I'm lagging behind for sure.
